Hampta Pass
Hampta Pass lies at an altitude of 4270 m (14039 ft) on the Pir Panjal range in the Himalayas. It is a small corridor between Lahaul’s Chandra Valley and Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh. It got its name from the Hampta town and shepherds and villagers used this pass to enter in Lahaul Spiti Valley of Himachal. The Hampta Pass stands as a bridge that connects the Kullu valley with Lahaul. The best time to trek to Hampta Pass is from mid-June to mid-October. There are chances to witness some snow on the high passes in the early days of the season and then it melts down completely by August. Rain is expected during the monsoons when the sky shower a little and the flowers are in full bloom.
